Ingredients

  • 2-3 tbsps black rice, washed, soaked overnight and drained
  • 4 cups almond milk
  • ½ tsp green cardamom powder
  • 22 measures Sugar Free Green
  • 10-15 raisins
  • 8-10 pistachios, blanched, peeled and slivered

Cooking tips

  • Make sure that the rice is soaked for at least 4-5 hours as black rice takes longer to cook.
  • Add more milk if you feel that the kheer is thick.

Step-by-Step instructions for how to make Sugar Free Black Rice Kheer

  • 1. Take soaked black rice in a blender jar, add ½ cup water and crush it lightly.
  • 2. Heat a nonstick pan. Add the crushed rice and almond milk and cook on medium heat for 20-25 minutes or till the mixture thickens. Make sure you stir the mixture at regular intervals of time.
  • 3. Add green cardamom powder and mix. Add Sugar Free Green and mix well. Add raisins and mix.
  • 4. Transfer the prepared kheer in individual bowls. Garnish with pistachio slivers.
