Ingredients

  • 200 grams vegan sponge cake, broken into small pieces/ Cut into fingers
  • Matcha Concoction
  • 1½ tsps matcha powder + for dusting
  • 2-3 measures Sugar Free Natura
  • Cream mixture
  • 1 cup silken tofu
  • 5 measures Sugar Free Natura
  • 1½ tsps vanilla extract
  • 1 cup coconut cream

Cooking tips

  • Use a new batch of matcha, as old matcha may not give the perfect bright green colour.
  • Do not over mix the matcha cream mixture. Mix gently to smooth out the lumps.

Method

Step-by-Step instructions for how to make Matcha Tiramisu

  • 1. To make the cream mixture, transfer the silken tofu to blender jar. Add Sugar Free Natura and vanilla extract and coconut cream and blend to fine mixture. Fill this mixture in a piping bag and set aside.
  • 2. To make the matcha concoction, add the matcha powder to a small bowl. Pour in the ¼ cup hot water and add the Sugar Free Natura. Stir to dissolve the matcha and Sugar Free Natura.
  • 3. Dip the cake pieces into the matcha concoction and add it to the serving bowls.
  • 4. Pipe the cream mixture on top of it. Repeat this step one more time to have two layers of cake and two layers of cream.
  • 5. Refrigerate the tiramisus for at least 4 hours to allow the cream mixture to thicken. Just before serving, sprinkle with matcha powder and serve immediately.
